Holidays>New project

Too long time without writing, too many things to tell,.. Let´s be concise!

I've been in Festes de Pedreguer from the 11th of July until the 20th.
A friend of mine from New Zeland came to visit me the first weekend, we went to the beach, to a concert (Desgavell,...), we saw the fireworks from Dénia and I showed him around. He wanted to run in front of the bulls and he managed to do it! it was amazing! I guess he was the first asian guy that run in front of the bulls from Pedreguer!! I enjoyed a lot having him around but on Monday he left,.. he had to come back to his work,..
During the rest of the week I was going out everyday, meeting with friends, watching the bulls and eating well. The weather was not perfect,.. it was cloudy for some days,.. but still I could enjoy the sun and the beach. I met my friend from Pedreguer (les Perverses), my 'quintos', my friends from Dénia,Arnau and Carme, Tereseta, and of course my family!!! my little cousins have grown up a lot!!!

I've been in the 'cordà' where the people plays to trough rockets to each other inside a huge cage. I went to see the 'rally humoristic' where people with costumes hang around trying to answer some questions about folk culture and has to do some funny physical tests. There I ended up singing 'Una chica yeyé' with Albert and in front of more than 100 people!! I went to 'El Quatre', to the dinner with 'els quintos', the people that has the same age as me. I saw the fireworks,.. 9 days of non-stop where I managed to disconnect perfectly from the work and the London life,... So hard to come back to London after such a beautiful time surrounded by people that really appreciate me: so many lovely people that, of course, I miss,..

When I came back I worked one more week on City of Justice and then,.. finally I got a new project!! I am doing a tower in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and I'm in charge of doing a 6 floors SPA for women in the last floors of the building, that means above 400 meters hight!!! It will probably be the highest SPA in the world!! I'm so excited!!A new life seems to arrive at the office,.. new project, new people,.. and people that I will miss working with,.. but I'm sure it will be nice! This week a Japanese guy has joined our team and next week my friend Andrés from Madrid will do it, it will be nice to have some familiar face around!

In my life some more things have changed. Last week I joined the gym and I'm trying to go 3 times per week. I've already been in yoga class, in aqua gym, swimming, threadmill,...And Sharan will come with me! We will be very fit!!

Last Sunday I went with my father and some friends to the Oyster Festival in Witstable, it was a very sunny day and we had very nice time there.

Now there are some travels waiting for me. In August I'll go first to Dublin and after to New York. And probably I'll go to Venice in September, I've never been to the Venice Biennale and I would like to go this year. Let's see,... The summer is going too fast!!!!

City of Justice presentation and AA party

Yesterday was the City of Justice presentation for Group 6 in F+P. The City of Justice project is the where I've been working since last September. Now we kind of finish it and we had to show what we did to the rest of the group.
I was so disappointed because of the way of organizing it,..we always have to do everything at the last minute, instead of having time to prepare the things properly. But at the end it went much better than what I expected, as we have very good people at the team. It was too long though,...
We were supposed to show all the process from the concept design until the detailing of each part of the building,.. so finally it wasn't a presentation but a lecture and I decided not to talk as I thought there were too many things to explain and I didn't want to bore the people talking about flooring, ceilings or toilettes,...So at the end everyone talked but Sharan and me,..
During and after the presentation we were drinking a lot of wine, and after the lecture I was talking with the people who has been working in the same project as me but from Madrid. It was nice to meet them and share some glasses of wine with them,..

We left the office at about 20.30 I would say,.. and taking some bottles of wine with us we went towards the AA party. We were already quite drunk,.. There I met with my friend Betty and she showed me her project that was exhibit. There we kept on drinking wine,.. meeting people from everywhere,... It was really nice,.. but suddenly my bottle of wine was disappeared and the university (were the party was) was closed, and the friends from the office that came with me,.. disappeared as well,.. Ups!!!
Then,. I decided to go with Betty and some friends of her to a bar (I would not be able to find it again,...I had almost 2 bottles of wine in my body,..)We were a very international group of people what it is always very nice: Malaysian, Korean, Japanese, English, Turkish, Polish, Lebanese, South Arabian, Italian,...
After that the bar closed down and we decided to go to a club but were being in queue the security guy told us that it was pack so we decided to go to another club,... but it was getting very late,.. and I started to be tired,.. so me and one of the Korean guys (that lives in the same neighborhood as me) decided to take the bus and go home,...
Such a hangover today!!!
But another party is waiting for me tonight!!! hehehe
We'll go to the Notting Hill market, after goodbye dinner with Betty and after,.. probably party at Will's place (a friend from the Erasmus)Let's see,..

the destiny,...

Last weekend visiting the Docklands

Already two weeks has passed since I received an email from the Japanese embassy telling me that unfortunately I hadn't been selected for getting the Monbukagakusho scholarship.
At the beginning I was very disappointed because I put a lot of effort to get it and it seemed like that was for nothing,...But it is never for nothing,.. you always learn something and this time I've learnt that maybe go to study another master in Tokyo was not what I should do,..
I started to think though that maybe I should go to work! hehehe But I am afraid of the Japanese working conditions,.. even if I think I could really learn a lot. At the moment I'll wait to see what is waiting for me at F+P because we've finished the City of Justice project and now I am supposed to start working in a new one,.. let's wait to see if it is stimulating enough to keep me in London,...

Since yesterday I've started to think about the destiny. There is one person in my life that each time that appears (virtually or physically)makes me believe in the destiny. He probably doesn't even know about this little space where I can tell what I think and what I am doing,.. but today it is dedicate to him. Thanks for the smile that you raised in my face!
I believe that there are some non-material links that could not be ever erased. Sometimes you don't even know how have they been created, sometimes you would like to break them,.. sometimes you would like to materialize them, but they just exist in that state and you cannot alter them.
Today I would like the wind to bring me to no-man's land, would that be possible?
